Who You Gonna Call ?

I can remember scenes like this from years ago. When, as a child you were taught that the Police were your friend. They were there when you needed them and usually quickly, but now ?

What happened to the beat cop ? The ones that would park their unit and walk the sidewalks of the community they serve and befriend shop owners and citizens alike.

One thing, in some areas of certain cities they are not welcome !  They would have rocks and bottles  or worse thrown at them and their unit destroyed, as we have seen happen this year by "peaceful protesters".

We have lost respect for the rule of law and the officers, most just doing a very stressful job, who are charged with enforcing those laws. Keep in mind that the officer is not trying to judge a suspect when he's  assessing the situation, he just makes a judgement call based on the information obtained at the scene and determines whether someone should, or should not, be held and later face a judge to explain their actions.

Now it has become hard to rely on any help from the police, in most cities, to come to your aid within any time to save you from harm because they have been disrespected so much, by even their superiors, that they are afraid to confront anyone, that they will be second guessed about how they handled it, plus they are now short staffed to the point that they only have time to handle the call outs, with no time for patrol or to even try to interact with the public at large.

So now it's evident that we need to take measures to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe without relying on the police. That means securing our homes and persons from violence, with alarms and personal protection items, learning how to use said items and keeping safe until the police do arrive.

I've partnered with a company that offers these items, and listed the catalog elsewhere on this blog, so that anyone can get their hands on good reliable self protection at a reasonable price, in hopes of helping everyone to stay safe.   Dutch
